US Student Safety and Security Abroad Presentation


PRESENTATION U.S. STUDENT SAFETY and SECURITY ABROAD October 3, 2016, 3 pm Free and Open to the Public


The Vice Consul from the U.S. Consulate General Milan will present safety tips and recommendations for U.S. Students studying abroad

  • Safety and Vigilance while Abroad
  • Emergencies while Abroad, 
  • Voting from Abroad, 
  • Services the Consulate can Offer Students. 

A great occasion for young Americans abroad (and eventual educational advisors and host families) to have a direct contact with the U.S. Consulate.  

Students who are have completed Absentee Ballots for the November elections can bring them in by October 3rd at 3pm.   The Consulate will send them to the US, postage free.

Not registered to vote absentee?  Go online ASAP www.fvap.gov to request your absentee ballot. For many states it is possible to obtain an email version, but usually you must print them and return a hard copy by mail.  

Need to renew your passport or a Notary? If need these or other Consular Services, go to this LINK for details.  The Vice Consul is accepting appointments for passport renewals and other services for US Citizens.  Sorry, no visa appointments for non-US Citizens.
