Ice Cream, Baseball, Summer Camp, Summer Movies, Summer Reading!  These are a few of our favorite Summer things.  Join in the fun! 

June 6th at 6 pmAll of our Students (young and not so young) and their families are invited to our Graduation and Ice Cream Social.  Please RSVP so we have enough ice cream for everybody! aia.fvg@gmail.com  A big round of applause goes to all of our teachers as well!

Tuesday and Thursday mornings 10-12 am
Let’s Get Musical!  Something for Everyone:  Kids, Grandparents, Adults.  From June 17th until July 24th .  Enjoy our cool room and go home singing.

WOMEN’S SPACE CONFERENCE
June 16th – 6 pm –STEREOTYPE THREAT:  WOMEN and MATH – Speaker:  Andrea Carnaghi, Psychologist, Assistant Professor – U. of TS , Dept of Life Sciences.  The theoretical sterotype background and how stereotypes effect our behavior. The impact of gender stereotypes on women's performance in math tests.

Our very own Shiela Khawaja translated the play Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Aids into English as an Associazione Italo Americana Volunteer.  The opening of the play in Italian is on June 6th at the Museo Revoltella and in English in Copenhagen on June 23rd.  Way to go Sheila!

ANTI- STRESS and RELAXATION in English  OPEN to the  PUBLIC
June 12th , 10-11:30 am – Anti-stress and relaxation session in English with the Gestalt Method. Thank you Melissa!

2014/15 MEMBERSHIP
We began selling Memberships for 2014/15.  The prices remain unchanged:  €35 for the Regular Adult Membership and €25 for Students, Teachers and Over age 65.  Membership is valid for checking out books, magazines, DVD’s and for the 2014/15 American Cinema Program starting in the Fall.  Membership should be renewed each year.  If you are a 2013/14 member, you can continue to use our library until Fall 2014.  We closed the season with 570 members!  Go AIA!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Remember that we are a volunteer organization.  We are looking for people to work in the afternoons at the Front Desk, manage library checkouts and for a variety of roles.  Contact us!  We’ll keep you busy!
